Teaching Philosophy

I strongly believe that the learning process is an endless investigation and should always be a priority to encourage in every student. It is crucial to provide students with a fundamental range of media, tools and skills, as well as with a positive atmosphere that will enhance their creative process.  Cultural and traditional values are key factors in the development of a classroom dynamic.  It is also important to make an emphasis on each student to keep an active sketchbook or journal in order to have a historical and theoretical frame of reference to help him or her deliver the technical and conceptual aspects of ideas.  Each student is unique, and his or her own contribution has an important role in the evolution of a much broader and critical dialogue.  Every student has challenged me. As I continue my journey as a teacher and artist, I have learned that there is unlimited opportunity to guide students to become inventive leaders.
